Tradesperson Terms

These terms apply to tradespeople and trade businesses ("Tradespeople") who register on the SureTrade platform to receive project matches.
1. Registration and approval
To appear in project matches, you must complete your profile and be approved by SureTrade. Approval is at our sole discretion. We may request evidence of qualifications, insurance, or other credentials at any time.
You must keep your profile information accurate and up to date. Misleading or false information is grounds for immediate removal.
2. How matching works
When a homeowner submits a project, our algorithm scores registered tradespeople based on factors including trade type, location, availability, profile completeness, and review history. You may appear as a match for projects that align with your profile.
Being matched does not guarantee that a homeowner will unlock your profile or contact you. Match visibility is not based on payment.
3. Your relationship with customers
SureTrade is an intermediary. We introduce you to potential customers. Any agreement, quote, or contract you enter into with a customer is between you and them. SureTrade is not a party to that agreement and accepts no liability for it.
4. Fees and payments
Creating a profile and receiving matches is currently free for tradespeople. We reserve the right to introduce subscription fees or other charges in the future, with reasonable notice.
Any fees we introduce will be communicated clearly before they take effect. You will always have the option to close your account if you do not wish to accept new pricing.
5. Your responsibilities
As a Tradesperson, you agree to:
- Hold all necessary qualifications, certifications, and insurance for the work you offer
- Comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations, including health and safety requirements
- Respond to customer enquiries promptly and professionally
- Not use the Platform to send unsolicited marketing or spam to customers
- Not circumvent the Platform to avoid fees or undermine its operation
6. Reviews and ratings
Customers may leave reviews about their experience. Reviews are subject to our Reviews Policy. You may respond to reviews through the Platform.
We reserve the right to moderate or remove reviews that breach our policies, but we do not edit reviews to favour either party.
7. Trust Score
Your profile may display a Trust Score based on various factors. This score is for informational purposes only and is explained in our Trust Score Disclaimer.
8. Content and photos
You retain ownership of content you submit (profile text, work photos). By uploading content, you grant SureTrade a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it in connection with operating the Platform.
You must only upload content you have the right to share. Do not upload photos of identifiable individuals without their consent.
9. Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove your profile if you:
- Breach these terms
- Receive persistent negative reviews
- Provide false or misleading information
- Fail to maintain required qualifications or insurance
- Engage in behaviour that harms the Platform's reputation
Where practicable, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action.
10. Limitation of liability
SureTrade does not guarantee any volume of work, revenue, or leads. We are not responsible for any loss of income or business arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
11. Account closure
You can close your account at any time by contacting [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Your profile will be removed from future matches. Existing reviews may be retained in anonymised form.
